The Moral of the Story

Who likes to watch Children’s Movies?
Most children's movies are enjoyable, silly, and fun --
Hidden within the catchy songs and great animation are important life lessons that teach us morals about love--
and the Importance of Family connections, loyalty, and being supportive--
In the movie:
  1. A Bugs Life-- Flik is the most innovative of all the ants but he is ignored by his community because they think he is unfocused and disruptive.
The moral of this story is to find your focus so you can be noticed and respected.
  1. Alice in Wonderland teaches us to – Be Curious
Like Alice, we should be curious enough to explore our own Wonderland!
Don’t be trapped in the circumstance of the moment, whether it’s a job, relationship or even a friendship. Take a leap of faith and follow your passion

3.      Mulan –is a woman willing to Take Chances
She poses as a man to become a warrior;
going against the wishes of her family and the rules of society to gain their honor and respect.
It’s never too late to start a new profession or take up a healthier lifestyle; you just have to have the will to find your inner warrior and take up the fight!

  1. With training and development, Hercules managed to turn from a scrawny little boy, into a superhero. This moral can be applied to all parts of our life if we learn and develop the gifts God gave us, we will be one step closer to achieving our goals and dreams.

  1.  In circle of life there are givers and takers with a delicate balance between good or evil.

The central conflict of this story is when Mufasa dies trying to save Simba and Simba blames himself for his father's death.
He leaves the pack full of remorse, guilt and self-doubt and afraid to face anyone. It’s only when he starts to believe in himself that he can be a true Lion King and s able to lead the way.

Like Simba, all we have to do is look inside ourselves for strength and perseverance.

Find your roar-

  1. Ratatouille – Teaches us-
Don’t Take Credit for What You Didn’t Do
Touching on ethics, it should be obvious that you shouldn’t accept praise if you’re not deserving of it. If you take the spotlight for work you didn’t do, at some point, the rug will be pulled out from under you, and you’ll look like the rat in Ratatouille;
  1. The Princess and the Frog shows us– Hard Work Pays Off
Tiana is a princess with a vision and a career path. She slaved away working two jobs until she had enough money to open up her dream business.

This movie teaches the importance of hard work and determination and teaches children that they can do whatever they put their minds, even if all the odds are against them.

  1. “When life gets you down, just keep swimming.”
This encouraging quote from Dory in Finding Nemo helps to lift up Marlin’s spirits.

We all have days when we are feeling down and are faced with situations that we think we can’t overcome. But that’s life, and this film teaches us to push through and come out stronger on the other end.

9. Tangled  focuses on  Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone
Rapunzel has been held captive for her entire life and has no idea about the outside world. She takes a leap of faith and is willing to explore the unknown.
She teaches us to come out of our comfort zone and jump to new adventures that can enhance our life experiences, and personal growth. It’s important to face your fears head-on, as Rapunzel did when she left the tower. You’ll never truly know unless you try.

  1. Cinderella – tells us Don’t Waste Time
The girl with the glass slipper is proof that we shouldn’t take time for granted. When she was given an impossible task of completing all her chores in order to go to the ball, she achieved it.

Quit putting things off for tomorrow do what you can today.

11.        Snow White encourages us to Be Kind
It’s good to have faith in life and try and see the best in everyone; just like Snow White did with the evil queen.
But we all know how the evil queen poisoned Snow White by giving her the apple.

The moral of this story is: Do not talk to strangers.

12.    Beauty and the Beast – teaches us not to be too quick to base an opinion on someone or something. In today’s society, we are all guilty of judging too quick!
Whether it’s due to social media influences or general behavior, we should take a page out of Belle’s book and not Judge a Book by Its Cover--
She could see through his thick skin and into his kind heart and ended up falling in love with his soul –

13.            The Little Mermaid teaches us to Live our Dream
With a story about a teenage girl named Ariel who desperately wants to leave home against her father’s wishes.
Ariel’s is an absent-minded slacker and a rebellious teen, who pursues a boy despite her stern father’s strict instructions.
The Moral: If you’re going to throw caution to the wind and fall for someone against all warnings, make sure you pick a real stand up guy--
  1. Sleeping Beauty shows us not to Lose Hope
Although Princess Aurora wasn’t living her true life, she was always filled with a sense of contentment until she was placed into a deep sleep.

The fairies never lost hope on Aurora’s true love returning to wake her.

The moral of the story is that you should always look at the glass half full, rather than half empty.

  1. In the movie Aladdin --The princess could have had any man she wanted. She didn’t want to settle down unless it was true love on her own terms teaching us not to settle for second best. –

This story tells us to: “Stop wishing and start doing“. The Universe is not a magic genie.    We can attract money, success, and anything we want, but it won’t happen by rubbing a magic lamp.

  1. 16.    Pocahontas – Fights for What She Cares About
This is one of the best lessons;
if you believe in something that much, fight for it.
Pocahontas fought for her people, her homeland and John Smith, all things she cared deeply about.

Selfless acts can prove that love will transcend all race, religions and family backgrounds.

  1. The characters in the movie Brave remind us that “friends come and go, but family is forever”.

Merida is a feisty girl who doesn’t like to take orders. This gets her into trouble with her mom-- and their relationship is put to the test.

This movie teaches children the importance of family.

18. Frozen – shows us that we should Embrace Who We Are--

Elsa tried to hide her true identity from her own sister and the world--

This heart-clenching story teaches us that we should embrace our differences and stay true to who we really are.

Frozen was an instant phenomenon with catchy tunes and the power of sisterly love.

19. Pinocchio’s ever-growing nose shows us that lying gets you nowhere and always comes back to haunt you. One lie leads to another, and then you’re stuck in a real big mess. If you want an easy life, quit the fibbing!

20. Like Buzz and Woody in Toy Story, we can never set our sights too high.

Set career goals and make them happen.

Woody is special because he will never give up on you, ever--
but he didn’t understand Buzz’s slogan--
To Infinity and Beyond

In the end, Woody learned the power in believing.

21.“Think of all the joy you’ll find when you leave the world behind and bid your cares goodbye.”– Peter Pan taught us that it’s OK sometimes to give in to our inner child. There are so many problems and worries in our day-to-day lives, sometimes we need just need to set them aside for a while and “think of a wonderful happy thought.”
These children’s movies show us the qualities of a good friend-- loyalty, trust, and the willingness to help even when it’s not convenient… or safe.
